Cian Saboya, Armelle Marcadé, Mehdi Michaux and Johnny Burgun (all four on all instruments) are the musicians known as Chocolate Billy. They come from Bordeaux, France. Their sound is electric and percussive, with a lot of chaotic energy.
Mon Père Est Ma Mère is their first album, recorded in 2004 in the Pyrénées mountains. In 2014 The prolific Dutch ensemble, The EX, invited Chocolat Billy to participate in a five day tour known as The Ex Festival along with acts such as Han Bennink, Peter Brötzmann, Thurston Moore and the ethiopian band Fendika.
